Why Are There So Many Aid Centers in Haifa?

The December 2016 National Insurance Institute of Israel's annual poverty report shows a rise in the number of poor families in Israel.  In its annual report, the National Council for the Welfare of Children said that Israel’s 18-and-under population was 2,768,700 and that 1/3 of them were poor.

It's mid January and already hundreds of kilos of winter coats and clothing have been distributed by Israel Relief Aid through its network of aid centers to victims of the Holocaust, WWII Ghetto survivor organizations, families in need, social services offices, Druze villages in the north of Israel, including the Golan Heights.

It is still super cold here in Israel and rain is due in a day or two.  Israel Relief Aid, through its network of aid centers, delivered jackets to keep warm to hundreds of families and individuals: victims of the Holocaust, WWII Ghetto survivor organizations, disadvantaged families, social services offices, and Druze villages in the north of Israel.

Winter Warm Campaign


Israel is experiencing an unusually cold and wet winter, and more than the normal amount of rain fell in December.  Israel Relief Aid's network of aid centers have been asking for warm jackets, clothing and blankets.
