This morning
as I look over the spiritual horizon of this day that the Lord has made, the
opposition to God’s love, His light, and His Life seems overwhelming. The distractions are loud and obtrusive from
every road of the world, and all are focused on our senses.
Too many who
are “the called” by God our Father, and drawn by the Holy Spirit to His Son,
Jesus, Yeshua, will not take the chance and responsibility to think and believe
for themselves. They get caught up in the frenzy of uncertainty packaged and
presented to them by a world that tells them how they are expected to think and
what they are to believe. It is a path
of least resistance that many get caught in by living as a Christian in the
world. This path is natural and often
found as easily as through the button of modern technology. Here is a defining crossroads for us that
will have an eternal effect for good or for evil.
John 3:19-21 (AMP)
19 This is the judgment [that is, the cause for indictment, the
test by which people are judged, the basis for the sentence]: the Light has
come into the world, and people loved the [a]darkness rather than the Light,
for their deeds were evil. 20 For every wrongdoer hates the
Light, and does not come to the Light [but shrinks from it] for fear that his
[sinful, worthless] activities will be exposed and condemned. 21 But whoever practices truth
[and does what is right—morally, ethically, spiritually] comes to the Light, so
that his works may be plainly shown to be what they are—accomplished in God
[divinely prompted, done with God’s help, in dependence on Him].”
Matthew 7:14 tells us: Small is the gate and narrow and difficult to travel is the path that leads away to Life, the knowledge
of God in His son Yeshua HaMashiach, and there are few who find it. God says that when living within and
depending on the world’s system with our life, the path is naturally difficult. Our Father does not want us attempting this
on our own. We live “in” Messiah Yeshua
within the Kingdom of God now. We walk
this “in Him,” from the power of His grace that He provides us with for the
asking.
John
16:33 (AMPC)
I have told you these things, so that in
Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have
tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be
confident, certain, undaunted]! For
I have overcome the world. [I
have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]
Psalm 16:11 (AMP)
11 You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
Ephesians 2:10 (CJB)
Humble yourself. Choose Life! When you fall down, get back up. In Messiah you are the Overcomer (1 John 4:4, 1 John 5:4-5).
