  As 2025 comes to an end and you get ready to welcome the New Year, I want to take a moment to express my excitement and gratitude for the partnership with Israel Relief Aid that each of you has embraced.

Every day, we hear from struggling families in Israel who are unable to put food on their tables. When they are homeless, it is even more dire. READ MORE

  A vast majority of homeless Israelis live in Tel Aviv.  They are not hard to find—sleeping on the streets, wheeling their cart of belongings, or searching through trash bins. READ MORE

Thanks to YOU, we provided food for the entire High Holidays and immediate needs in 2 emergency shelters: Women and Children’s Shelter – for those fleeing domestic violence or trafficking or placed there by the State welfare system for safety. READ MORE

  I n the south of Israel, there are two shelters for Israelis.  O ne is a refuge for Israeli women and children who have been battered/abused .

For the Holiday Season and the entire month of December, Israel Relief Aid will be reaching out to the poor at the Tel Aviv Homeless Café.    Many Israelis have fallen on hard times with the constant strain of missile attacks and anxiety,  not knowing where their next meal will come from.   

  Thanks to lovers of Israel and our compassionate friends who lend a hand towards homeless men and battered women in Israel , Israel Relief Aid has been able to send  a month’s worth of food  for the holiday month of October for two shelters in Beer Sheva. READ MORE . . . 

  There is a small center in Hadera needing renovation—they have been feeding the homeless three meals a day and providing shelter and also serving as a rehab and meeting room. 

  The Beer Sheva shelter provides a refuge for women escaping tough domestic situations and a secure place for them to rebuild their lives. Working in cooperation with an anti-violence group, the shelter provides women with emotional and practical support. One in every four Israeli families suffers from domestic violence!  Some of the women are able to escape abusive situations but then have nowhere to live and no one to help them.  They are set up for failure if they try to stake out on their own. They know they have to start from zero. They must find a place to stay and a job. As a rule, they also need emotional help. One entrant into the Beer Sheva shelter was L., a girl who was picked up living on the streets of Ashqelon.  She had a traumatic past and now receives therapy. For the Men The Beer Sheva shelter also runs a men’s rehabilitation center, and they report: V. is a rehabilitant who came to us from Ashkelon. He immigrated to Israel ...

In Jerusalem and Beer Sheva, Israel Relief Aid recently brought all kinds of clothing, women’s hygiene goods, and other good things.  In the picture you can see new immigrants filled with joy to have something to keep warm at night, because Jerusalem is colder than other cities.  Read more...
