  Bat Yam is an older community with a lot of Holocaust Survivors, widows, disabled and Ukrainian/Russian immigrants living on small monthly stipends. It’s a great place to do a great mitzvah.

  Dear Friends, This year we mark Passover with a year of massive change for the better. Although we still have challenges, there is hope, where there wasn’t last year.

Passover is April 12! Along with the necessary pre-cleaning for the holiday, most of the food for the entire holiday is purchased in advance. Yet this is not the case for Israelis living in poverty. READ MORE 

Passover begins April 22nd this year.  For the obvious reasons, holidays this year are taking on an unprecedented level of significance. We are a nation at war and in mourning every day since Oct 7th. 

  Israel Relief Aid invited 300 young Ukrainians to a unique experience last month – a Passover Seder in a Bedouin Tent in the Negev Israel’s southern desert. READ MORE. . .

  For the April project, Israel Relief Aid collected funds so that Israelis (especially immigrants) in poverty could celebrate the Passover Seder and to eat the required unleavened bread during the week of Pesach.  READ MORE . . .

  A new third project for feeding at Passover is being planned!  It will be held in Israel’s Negev desert region, in a massive Bedouin Tent!  It will be a huge large group (split into groups of 100), and the entire Seder will become a teaching platform.  Russian/Ukrainian immigrants will be invited and a full meal will be served, and a seder will be great learning experience. Israel Relief Aid is building and distributing food boxes that are kosher for Passover and also can be used for general use after Passover.   These boxes will continue to be built and distributed on an ongoing basis after the holiday, as well.  Face masks are also being given out.  Read more . . . 

Many Israelis don’t know how they will fare in the next month or two without income.  They are cutting food purchases to low-cost foods.  Israel Relief Aid is continuing distribution of supplies to needy Israelis in this time of need, like large families living under the poverty line and the elderly and the disabled.  Read more . . .
