On this somber 25th anniversary of 9/11 and every morning, I watch the shocking news reports, and it is painful and can cause emotional numbness. But dear friends, l realize we must not, cannot, allow ourselves to slip into a state of apathy. Over the past year, we have received newsletters from our CEO in Israel, Jo Kaplan. I often find myself thinking: "Our Israel Relief Aid friends (all of you) are such an example of a people who do not live in apathy. How wonderful is your help this past year, which has made such a meaningful difference for the most vulnerable sectors of society in Israel!"
