With Purim three-day holiday beginning March 6, Israel Relief Aid is going back to the Ben Shemen Youth Village to help sponsor a Purim party to bring joy to 400 teenage placed kids/orphans.  Why does the youth village need help for something as important as a holiday celebration?  It turns out that while the government does cover basic needs like daily meals, such daily meals are not holiday-oriented.  So, when a holiday comes, they have no budget for that.   This week, 4 large truckloads are being packed for Ukraine and for the Ukrainian refugees in Moldova.  These include the large barrels of clean water for the areas that don’t have drinkable water.  

  400 new immigrants from Ukraine and Russia were given a day trip to the Galilee in the north of Israel and a hot meal. For most of them, it was their first time seeing the country. READ MORE   

  The earthquake death toll is now nearing 40,000. Yet, despite the frigid temperatures and unlikely odds, survivors are still being pulled from the wreckage.  Two airlifts of aid - one from the UK and the other from Germany -  with  150 pallets ( containing new winter coats/clothing, sanitary napkins, food, soap, toothpaste, etc)  arrive at the airports tonight/tomorrow morning. Distribution will be arranged in cooperation with the Turkish Government.
