The problem: The children were surrounded by an extremely difficult and negligent socio-economic environment. It necessitated their removal from home by court order or by the welfare authorities. Or maybe the parents were killed in a bomb or vehicle accident.
The solution: Children’s villages throughout Israel succeed in presenting these children, who suffer from severe emotional and physical deficiency, with an educational/rehabilitating program. Having to change their whole lives, they appreciate the warm and loving home at the village, to help them work their way up to becoming independent and useful members of society.
It is free and they get to pick whatever they want and need. During our delivery, the Bazaar Ha’kfar was busy with children needing clothing and we really saw it in operation. The center needed the clothing that we had to bring, so we were really happy to have been able to bring them.
A graduate of the village writes:
"To live in the Village for so many years is a gift . . . Many people have helped me pave my way and be able to walk through the path of my earlier life. My time here has been full of experiences and special moments.
It is a wonderful place that forever will stay with me. This village has become an inseparable part of me -- my home, like a real home should be. In moments of hardship as well as in good times, it opens its doors to me.”
How Can You Help?
You can partner with aid funding on a one-time or monthly basis whatever amount the Lord lays on your heart. Poverty, lack of medical supplies, and the harsh realities of violence in Israel make life especially difficult for these children in placement.
