February Update from Our Executive Director in Israel

The following is a February Update from our Executive Director of Israel Relief Aid in Modiin Israel:

Dear Lovers of Israel,

We wanted to let you know how much your gifts of love are appreciated. It is so exciting, as it enables the import of freely donated aid and the coordination of projects here in Israel.  These impact the lives of everyday Israelis.

This past month we organized a special party for Holocaust Survivors at a center in Lod, gave them a needed water cooler and water filter (shocked that they didn’t have this!).  I chose this center particularly because Lod is low on the pole economically.  People that live there do not ever see themselves as coming out of poverty.

We also brought a container of medical supplies and clothing for Holocaust Survivors.  This was in partnership with two other ministries.  Israel Relief Aid has a huge network of partners and uses this network for various specialized needs.

We currently have two containers on the water – one with clothing for Jerusalem, and the other with clothing for the rest of the country.  I have heard talk of a third container being conceived, which will go to many places all over the country – focusing on new mothers and babies and pro-life.  For many of these mother-baby centers, we are the only ones supplying them.

Our US connection, Blessing Israel Together, is working hard for you, and you’re your partnership, and with God’s help, we will work hard to make a dent in the 30% Israeli poverty rate.  While we are between wars, and major crises, this is the time to bring it in.
