Believer or Overcomer?

Mountain Climbing

The Bible tells us in:

Revelation 2:11 (AMP)
11 He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes [the world through believing that Jesus is the Son of God] will not be hurt by the second death ([a]the lake of fire).’

Everything which has God as its Father overcomes the world. And this is what victoriously overcomes the world: our trust (1 John 5:4 CJB).

The trust, in the above scripture is an action word.  This trust “works” and it works by God’s love in our hearts. (Galatians 5:6 CJB)

In John 14:21 (CJB), the Apostle John tells us:

21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me…

We are required to first pursue the knowledge of, and spiritually comprehend His Commands.

Second, we have to do them, to dwell in and live within His commandments from our heart as a manner of life, before we are enabled to overcome the world and its systems.

Revelation 3:21 (CJB)
21 I will let him who wins the victory [overcomes the world] sit with me on my throne, just as I myself also won the victory [overcame the world] and sat down with my Father on his throne.

Do you understand what is yours here?

1 John 2:15 (CJB)
15 Do not love the world or the things of the world. If someone loves the world, then love for the Father is not in him.
