In the south of Israel, there are two shelters for Israelis. One is a refuge for Israeli women and children who have been battered/abused.
The other is a shelter for men in two situations: They were homeless, living on the streets in Tel Aviv and other cities, many of whom are addicted to alcohol or drugs. So, it is also a rehab.
After these men and women are first settled in the home and well-fed, they attend a variety of sessions, emotional well-being/PTSD, social participation, and even historical lessons of great Israelis that motivate our lives.
The shelters have most of their expenses covered, but not meals!
Israel Relief Aid wants to send supermarket vouchers to cover the whole month of holidays in honor of Rosh Hashanah, so that they won’t lack holiday meals.
These Israelis have been through enough – living on the street and/or with violent abuse.
Let’s make sure they have good nutrition and comfort this Rosh Hashanah. Let’s do this.
Simply send your holiday blessing and we’ll make sure there’s holiday meals and kitchen stocked for the month.
