The Pressure of October 7 (by Jo Kaplan)

The famous lingo “Never Again” proved untrustworthy to Israel, as 1200 victims in Israel were horrifically murdered, and 250 abducted one year ago today. Israelis never understood Shemini Atzeret’s “announcement that would come later”, as the Hebrew Scriptures reveal . . . until the “surprise” of October 7, 2023 that has kept the nation traumatized.

Israel’s allies, while extending their hands to Israel, haven’t made a huge entrance into the war against the atrocities of terror and barbarism of Hamas, Hezbollah, Houti’s and Iran, and Israel has had to fight almost exclusively on their own. We note that the US and Britain have lifted a finger against Yemen’s Houti’s, although to a very limited extent, and they are still bombing Israel and ships in the Red Sea.

The chains that the US government put on Israel as to what it can or cannot do against these terror organizations (and to try to get the abductees back), caused Israel to get to this lengthy point that we are now, 12 months later. For only after the US government stopped restraining did Israel begin to take over the reins and to make strides in Gaza, the territories, and Lebanon. However, Israel needs her allies to make more of a contribution.

What can we do? There is a lot we can do to help the situation:

  • 70,000 Israeli evacuees from the north need physical aid week to week.

  • The 30% of Israelis in poverty are even more in poverty as prices rise due to the war.

  • 30,000 new immigrants (mostly from Russia) didn’t bring much with them to Israel, and they need all kinds of help.

  • There are also all the families in the north who didn’t evacuate. They are running to their bomb shelters at any time the air raid siren blares each day.

Your prayers and financial aid can be a great blessing for the Israeli nation toward food bags, meals and aid containers.

Blessing Israelis in need… a blessing for you that cannot be reversed:

O Israel, blessed is the one who blesses you
